Traveling by public transport

Martinsville Speedway is not directly connected to major public transport networks, so most fans travel by car, shuttle, or rideshare. Camping near the track is also popular, as it allows easy access on foot during race weekend. Even so, there are a few alternatives if you prefer not to rely entirely on your own vehicle.

Park-and-ride options

For some race weekends, the Speedway partners with local churches, schools, and community centres in the Ridgeway and Martinsville area to offer park-and-ride services. Fans can leave their cars at these satellite locations and take shuttle buses to the track, helping avoid the heaviest traffic near the venue. Specific arrangements are usually confirmed closer to race weekend.

Travelling to Martinsville by bus or train

• Bus: Intercity services such as Greyhound operate to nearby cities, including Greensboro, Roanoke, and Danville. From there, the Speedway is roughly a 45–60 minute drive, so you will likely need a rental car, shuttle, or rideshare for the final part of the journey.
• Train: Amtrak stations in Danville, Virginia (about 45 minutes away) and Greensboro, North Carolina (around one hour away) offer rail options for visitors. As with bus travel, you will need onward transport by car, taxi or rideshare to reach the Speedway.

Rideshare and taxis

Uber and Lyft operate in the wider region, although availability can be more limited directly in Ridgeway. They are generally easier to arrange from larger nearby cities such as Greensboro, Roanoke or Danville, though fares may be higher. Traditional taxi services are also available in Martinsville and surrounding towns.
