Camping at Martinsville Speedway is a popular way to experience the full race-weekend atmosphere. With a variety of grass, paved and powered sites available, fans can choose anything from simple tent camping to fully equipped RV spots. Many camping areas are within easy walking distance of the grandstands, keeping you close to the action from early morning until the final laps.

General Admission and grass camping areas

Several camping sections around the Speedway offer basic 18' x 40' grass sites without utility hookups. These typically include areas such as General Admission, North Lot, South Lot, Campground Entrance, 3rd Turn, Crossing’s Corner and Hillside. Each site generally accommodates one RV or tent setup and includes parking for one additional vehicle, with a tow pass usually issued at check-in. These locations are especially popular with fans who enjoy the traditional NASCAR camping atmosphere.

Premium camping options

For visitors looking for added comfort, upgraded camping areas are also available. Champions Overlook offers paved 18' x 45' sites with 50-amp electrical hookups and access to water. The Backstretch area mostly provides 18' x 40' grass sites with 50-amp power connections. These premium spots are well-suited to RV travellers who want dependable utilities while staying close to the Speedway.
